It’s been reported that the Baltimore Ravens are keeping an ear to the ground in Green Bay, just in case the situation between Brett Favre and the Packers degrades to the point that trade options are put together. I don’t know the history of Brian Billick enough to know whether there are any ties between him and Favre, but I’d have a hard time believing an egomaniac like Billick and Favre could peacefully coexist. And I have to think Favre knows that, too (and I’d have to imagine he’d have a say in the matter, being in the unique position he is in).
True enough, the Ravens are thin at quarterback, and what team couldn’t benefit from a future hall-of-famer flipping the ball around? But I’d lay money that it’d be with a coach and/or system he was already very familiar with, and could thrive in from the opening of training camp.
If I were a betting man I wouldn’t lay any chips on the Ravens’ number.
