I heard on the radio this morning that there was an online poll at the Post-Crescent’s website about whether local fans thought Favre should stay in Green Bay or be traded. With around 12,000 votes tallied, 80% percent said that Favre should pack his bags and move out of town.Â
But given the subtle change in mood for the fans in Green Bay over the last week or so, with Favre’s decision being the topic of discussion among the sports talking heads like John Madden, Dan Patrick and others, I don’t think this is a “we’re tired of the shenanigans, get the hell out” vote. I think it’s (more…)

As it turns out, Brett Favre is able to travel time, and has decided to wait to decide whether to play in the 2006 season only after the season is completed and the Green Bay Packers win-loss record has been determined. It’s only at that time that he’ll know if it’ll be worth his time to play for the Pack in the season that will have just finished up. Darn you, talking heads. You shoot me full of adrenaline and hope for the 2006 football season, only to see it dashed onto jagged rocks.
Soon after Mike Sherman was fired, there was a sexy hypothesis going around about how the team could immediately be made better with people already familiar with Green Bay, and make them contenders with only a small smoke machine and a couple used mirrors. (more…)
