Reports were that the eight men cut from the Green Bay Packer roster to get down to the required 75 on Tuesday were not a surprise. Those cut:
Chad Lucas - WR
Calvin Russell - WR
Brian Wrobel - QB
Montez Murphy - DE
Jerron Wishom - CB
Jerome Nichols - DT
A.J. Cooper - RB
Thomas Gafford - C (long snapper)

Something I forgot to mention when briefly recapping the 48-17 beat-down the Packers took at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals last Monday night - Ahman Green was back in uniform and on the field. 8 carries for 18 yards was the tally; it isn’t going to light the football world on fire, but he seemed to cut well and had trust in his surgically repaired wheel.
Good to see him back. Now we just need some experienced men pushing in front of him, and we might have something on offense.

And apparently, the Green Bay Packers had some dirty clocks.
This was the kind of preseason game that you didn’t need to watch for more than a few minutes to know who was going to end up on top. Favre had just enough time to make in his pants before he was either hit or hurried into Favresque decisions and blunders, and our vaunted defensive secondary was handing out completed passes like Hare Krishnas giving out pamphlets at the airport.
