As we saw in the metamorphosis of the Green Bay Packers defense from 2004 to 2005, changing from bottom dwellers to a top ten defensive unit, using the same players each year, a really good coach can make a big difference in a team.
Rod Marinelli is the new head coach for the Lions. You may not recongize the name. I didn’t. But he made a name for himself as one of the pillars that made the structure of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for the last decade.

I thought newspapers and local media reported game time in local time. Turns out it was Pacific time, and I was only able to watch a half of the foreboding game between Marty “Can’t Win the Big Game” Schottenheimer, and our Green Bay Packers.

The Packers first preseason test will begin tomorrow at around 7pm in sunny San Diego, California, when the Chargers play host to the green and gold. These two teams met in the preseason last year, with the Packers coming out on top 10-7 in an offensive game…
