Last week Tiki Barber was talking about how he thought the Giants were probably the best team in the NFC. I thought he was smoking teaky. I heard Michael Strahan on Jim Rome’s ego-fest this afternoon and thanks to that interview I believe I now have found a place inside Tiki’s head, wedged between the rotten potato salad and the hubcap.

As Strahan pointed out in that interview, the New York Giants team is all that Tiki Barber knows, so when he’s asked “Who’s the best team in the NFC,” Barber’s answer will always be NYG. Even Strahan said Tiki needs to learn more about the other 31 teams in the league. Why else would Barber believe that a team that barely eeked out a win against the worst team in the NFL would be considered among the best in their conference?

To make it fun I think we just need to learn to ask the right questions of Tiki, like “Which NFL team uses the most Jergens in the shower?” When Tiki starts firing off “New York Giants” to every question like an agitated tourette sufferer, then we’re getting some entertaining Q&A:

Interviewer: Which NFL team has the most lenient policy on driving around town naked?

Barber: The New York Giants (which technically is incorrect)

Interviewer: Which NFL franchise should be granted the Lombardi trophy every year based solely on their ability to exist in a top 20 market?

Barber: Is this a trick question?
