Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
and sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
and looked down one as far as I could
to where it bent in the undergrowth
Or some shit like that.
The Dallas Cowboys lead the NFC East with a record of 6-2, but they have Tony “Big-Game-No-Show” Romo calling plays and have had more than their share of drama the last year or so. They come into Lambeau this week traveling down a good road. A road that, if they win for a second week outside of Jerryville, will definitely label themselves as one of the two or three teams to beat for the NFC title.
Traveling down an intersecting road is your Green Bay Packers. In full throat are those Packer fans calling for the heads of GM Thompson and Coach McCarthy on a platter, fresh off a loss to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a rookie coach, rookie quarterback and all kinds of suck on their roster. In this put-up-or-shut-up intersection of the season, the Packers need to show themselves, the fans and the rest of the NFC North that they can win against good teams.
But if I was laying money on Sunday’s game? I’d take the Cowboys giving the points.
Thanks to Robert Frost for the intro.
