I’ve always said I’m not a big X’s and O’s guy. I just watch the games, see where I think the strengths and weaknesses are, then blog about how Brett Favre is a shithead.
It’s been a pretty solid formula for the last three years.
But today I thought I’d put together a brief animation of what I think the key to the game is against the once-feared Pittsburgh Steelers. I think my gameplan is pretty solid.

Well JP its been a long time since I Posted a comment on your Web site ! i want you to know that i was totally sticking up for the Packers at work on Friday and was completley laughed at ! I was asked which team I feared the most Playing in the PlayOffs I responded the GreenBay Packers ! you should have heard all the laughing going on, I firmly said again the Green Bay Packers and I stand by that ! well it just so happens that most of my co workers are New Orleans Fans and the way things are shaping out thats who the Packers would play after they destroy their first Opponet in the Nfl Playoffs , then the Packers would eat the Saints alive for Breakfast ! lots more laughing , i was told the saints are unbeatable in the Superdome , Then I Laughed out Loud ! do you realize that the Packers are the most Dangerous team in the Playoffs , they have destroyed every team since loosing to the Vikings back in November and defently very good teams they have destroyed too ! Like Baltimore , Dallas , San Fransico and the list goes on ! In fact I hope we dont have to face the Packers again in the Playoffs either , I think the Packers are a Lot better team now then when the Vikings Bitched slapped them Last ! Anyhow nice job Pack and Ill enjoy your teams Ass Whipping of the Saints in the Playoffs ! God only knows the Saints are a joke anybody can go Thirteen and zero playing the Panthers , Falcons , Buccanerrs , Rams , the pathetic Giants , Jets, Dolphins , wheres the real competition ! no Worries Saints Fans ! the Packers Will be Opening a Whole Case of WhoopASS up on your team here in just a few weeks , so get ready for an early exit in the playoffs Saint Fans The Pack will be coming to town ! Hey JP a little predection NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME VIKINGS VS PACKERS ! you all will get another shot at redeeming yourselfs !

I appreciate the happy thoughts about the Packers. I think you’re right about the Saints - they aren’t playing like the Pats did when they made their run for 19-0 - they don’t blow out teams by 40. They’ve won a few squeakers lately against teams they should be stomping.
And I also agree that the Packers are a different team than they were a month ago. Their defense has to scare the hell out of any and every offensive coordinator. Clay Matthews’ motor never stops running. Can you imagine that guy chasing Favre for 50 plays in a game? He’d get to him at least once, that’s for sure.
And the offensive line seems to be cleaning itself up - having Tauscher there has to be helping, if for no other reason than keeping things settled.
But Ryan Grant still runs at the pile. Had a great game last week against the Bears, but that’s the anomaly, not the norm. I have to think Ahman Green is still a better back, even though he only carries the ball in his left hand and is about 38 years older than Grant.
Rodgers has been good. Holds the ball a little long. Receivers aren’t hanging onto balls as they should.
I would love the Packers to have the chance to face the Vikes as a hurdle to get to the Superbowl, but I have the feeling that if the Packers face the Saints, their offense is just a bit better than the Packer defense, and the Packer offense and Saint defense are a wash. Advantage: Saints.
If all playoff teams stay healthy and play as expected, I think it’s a Saints-Vikes NFC Championship, and I think the winner has a good shot at toppling whoever comes out of the AFC.
