I shouldn’t be telling you this.
I mean seriously, I shouldn’t.
Through some completely unrelated business travels and serendipity up the wazoo, I got to see an email. From someone inside the Packer organization. Someone everybody probably knows, but because of the situation I’m in that lead to this discovery, it’s someone that NO WAY IN HELL I mention his name. Because it’ll get back to him. And then the source.
And then me? Pretty much fucked. On many fronts.
So for now, let’s just say there were at least a few people in the Packer camp that were happy to see Favre fall short.
And that’s all I have to say about that.

of course they are … they’ve been beatean up twice by the legend this years … favre is a good teamate everybody say it but still … sometimes we do everything right and it still not enough for some people .
whatever …
Funny about that - this is a guy that was around the organization even before Favre was. To me, that says a lot.
seb,
I had heard the opposite regarding Favre’s attitude in the locker room.
You act like Packer fans just turned their back on the guy. Favre was still very much viewed in a good light when he went to the Jets.
You’re not from WI so I don’t expect you to really grasp the significance of him going to the Vikings. Our number one divisional rival.
To some it might look goofy “It’s just a game, why do you care”. But that would be as silly as looking at any passion a person has and waiving it off as being nothing that significant.
Favre knew what he was doing in going to the Vikings. He wanted to stick it to the Packers and the Packer Mgmt for not letting him start. We’re supposed to be happy for the guy?
He’s not bigger than the Packers, and Packer fans have had their loyalty to the team tested with season after season of failures long before Brett ever came along. Not many fans are as consistent as the Packers.
So you’re going to play-act shocked when Favre makes the one move to the one team that would really hit hard to Packer fans? You’re a nut.
You clearly gloated when you said:
“they’ve been beatean up twice by the legend this years”
….
so, let me gloat when I say
“The broken-record, that is Brett Favre, screwed up royally (again) in a meaningful game and lost it for that team with his dumb play decisions.”
no im not from WI but still … i know when you give it all to a organisation and they doesnt want you to come back that must hurt … and wanted to stick it up to their face is just a normal reaction … and he did it and im glad … cuz thompson is really dumb and murphy is not better … the franchise is not in good hand like it was with wolf .
now you cant judge brett for only one play … he made a mistake in the final play … peterson made mistake in 3 play or more in the entire game and at key moment that would erase the favre erant throw in the end … i know ppl from WI are pissed because he went to the vikings our divisional rival … but hey they wanted rodgers … so favre can play anywhere else he wants .
too bad its for the vikings … but all he wants is a other shot at the super bowl … he almost get it … without the 12 men in the huddle … he would be playing sunday in miami .
seb,
I’m guessing the point of JPs post is centered around the fact of something negative Favre has said towards the Packers org.
I’d guess it’s something with respects to Favre’s feelings or views on the Packers. Something that is not widely mentioned in the news.
Of course people in the Packers org were happy to see him fall short. But seb, don’t you think that there might be a bit more reason behind that joy towards his failing?
i really dont know but he cant be perfect in everything so there must be things on favre that the org didnt like … but overal he seems to be a really good teamate and such a good athlete who loves the game …
